The 1st Working Group meeting and the 2nd Management Committee meeting of COST Action CA23154
“Environmental Impact of Anthelmintics in Livestock and Alternatives to Minimize Their Use,” took place on February 26–27, 2025, at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, Austria.
The event brought together representatives from 32 COST countries, with 52 Management Committee members and 74 Working Group members in attendance, marking a strong start for the Action’s collaborative efforts1.
Key outcomes included the approval of new leadership roles, updates on Action membership, and the adoption of the Science Communication Plan.
The meeting highlighted progress across all six Working Groups, which are now actively advancing research on sustainable alternatives to anthelmintic use and their environmental impact. The Action’s commitment to excellence and inclusiveness was reinforced, with significant representation from Inclusiveness Target Countries, young researchers, and gender-balanced leadership.
The meeting set the stage for upcoming grant opportunities, stakeholder engagement activities, and the continued development of the Action’s scientific and outreach objectives.
This collaborative meeting laid the foundation for impactful research, knowledge exchange, and stakeholder involvement throughout the duration of the COST Action.
