ENVIRANT YRI Conference Grants – 2nd Grant Period
The ENVIRANT Action (CA23154) is pleased to announce that the call for YRI Conference Grants – 2nd Grant Period is now open. The call will remain open until 30 September 2026.
A total of four YRI Conference Grants, of up to €1,500 each, will be awarded to support the participation of Young Researchers and Innovators in international conferences.
What are YRI Conference Grants?
YRI (Young Researchers and Innovators) Conference Grants are intended to support young participants in presenting their work at international conferences. These grants aim to help applicants build strong professional networks, increase their visibility within the research community, and contribute to the dissemination of topics aligned with the objectives of the COST Action ENVIRANT.
Who is eligible?
Applicants must:

Be a Young Researcher or Innovator aged 40 or younger.

Present either an oral presentation or a poster at a conference.

Ensure that the contribution is directly related to the objectives of COST Action ENVIRANT: CA23154.
-
Attend a conference taking place within the current Grant Period.
The conference may be held anywhere in the world.
Evaluation criteria
The evaluation will be based on the following criteria:

Approved oral presentation or poster.
-
Relevance of the proposed contribution to one or more ENVIRANT Working Groups.

Applicant age of 40 years or less.

Conference taking place within the current Grant Period.
-
Relevance and recognition of the congress or conference within the academic or professional community.

Applicant’s CV and motivation letter, including relevant research background and clear alignment with the Action objectives.

Novelty of the data presented.
-
Appropriateness of the requested budget in relation to the destination and duration of the conference.
In the case of a high number of applications, additional considerations may include:

Gender balance.

One applicant per institution/centre.
How to apply
Applications must be submitted through e-COST.

Log in to e-COST.
-
Click on COST Actions and then select My Grant Applications.

Click Apply for Grant.

From the page Apply for new Grant, select YRI Conference Grant.

Complete the application form and select COST Action ENVIRANT.

Upload all required supporting documents.
-
Submit the application through e-COST.
Applications can be monitored under Grant Applications Monitoring.

A copy of the accepted oral presentation or poster abstract

The acceptance or invitation letter from the conference organisers

A motivation letter

A justification of estimated expenses, including:

Conference registration fee

Estimated travel costs, such as flights and transport

Hotel/accommodation
-
Daily allowance according to the destination country
