Open calls

The network brings together academic participants with strong experimental capacities and infrastructures.
The Action facilitate the exchange of researchers with diverse and relevant expertise through different networking activities such as Working Groups meetings, Workshops, Training Schools, Short-Term Scientific Missions, and grants as Virtual Mobility, Dissemination Conference Grant and Young Researcher and Innovator and ITC Conference Grants.

Short Term Scientific Missions (STSMs)
The aim of STSMs in ENVIRANT is to promote the exchange of knowledge, and to support the Action’s scientific objectives.
STSMs allow scientists, especially Young Researchers and Innovators (YRIs, up to 40 years of age), to visit an active research group in another country (stay from 5 to 90 days) to foster collaboration, share knowledge, learn a new technique, and undertake research of common interest, provided that the planned activity contributes to the scientific objectives of ENVIRANT.
Training Schools
Training Schools aim to facilitate capacity building on a topic relevant to the theme of the respective COST Action through the delivery of intensive training on a new or emerging subject.
Training Schools provide intensive training in emerging research topics within the laboratories and organizations involved in the COST Action.

ITC Conference Grants
ITC conference grants are grants aimed at young researchers and PhD students from Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITCs) to attend beneficial international conferences that are not organised by COST Actions.
YRI Conference Grants
The YRI Conference Grants (YRI-CGs) provide financial support for Young Researchers and Innovators affiliated in any COST country (including ITC and NNC countries) for their participation in high-level conferences.
The grantee receives support for attending and presenting their work (poster/oral presentation) at a conference and can establish new contacts for future collaborations. They are aimed at supporting researchers in their early career stages to increase their individual mobility and international visibility, strengthening existing networks and fostering international collaboration.
For more information, please contact the Action Chair or the Grant Awarding Coordinator directly.

Virtual Mobility Grants
Virtual Mobility consists of a collaboration in a virtual setting among researchers or innovators within the COST Action, to exchange knowledge, learn new techniques, etc. Virtual Mobility Grantee develops capacity in virtual collaboration and networking in a pan-European framework.
For more information, please contact the Action Chair or the Grant Awarding Coordinator directly.
Dissemination Conference Grant
Dissemination Conference consists in an oral presentation by an Action Participant of the work of the Action in high-level conferences fully organized by a third party, i.e. not organized nor co-organized by the COST Action.
